—  Clinical Services

Telemedicine consultations across the full scope of otolaryngology.

Whether you are seeking an initial evaluation, a second opinion before surgery, or ongoing orientation for a chronic condition, each consultation draws on more than 25 years of clinical and research experience in ear, nose, and throat medicine.

All consultations are conducted via secure video call in Portuguese or English.

Ear disorders & hearing loss

Conditions of the ear are among the most complex in all of medicine — and among Dr. Teufert’s deepest areas of expertise. Her years of research at the House Ear Institute, alongside some of the field’s most respected specialists, give her an unusually thorough understanding of both the clinical and physiological dimensions of ear disease.

Vertigo & balance disorders

Dizziness and balance problems are among the most disruptive — and most misdiagnosed — conditions in otolaryngology. Dr. Teufert has dedicated a significant part of her research career to vestibular disorders, with published studies on surgical outcomes in Menière’s disease.

Vertigo & balance disorders

Dr. Teufert’s training in nasal and sinus surgery began during her residency in São Paulo, where she served as a teaching assistant in micro-endoscopic sinus surgery. She brings that foundation to diagnosis, treatment orientation, and surgical referral guidance.

Throat & voice disorders

Throat and voice conditions range from common to complex, and an accurate diagnosis makes all the difference. Dr. Teufert provides clinical orientation and referral to the appropriate specialist when in-person intervention is needed.

Pediatric ORL

Children present with ear, nose, and throat conditions differently than adults — and deserve a specialist who understands those differences, including published research on congenital aural atresia surgery and long-term outcomes in children.

Neurotology consultations

Neurotology sits at the intersection of otolaryngology and neurology, addressing conditions of the inner ear, auditory nerve, and skull base. Dr. Teufert’s research at the House Ear Institute — one of the world’s leading neurotology centers — gives her exceptional depth in this area.

Second opinion

If you have received a diagnosis or been recommended for surgery and want a rigorous, independent review before proceeding, Dr. Teufert offers expert second opinion consultations drawing on her extensive research background.
