Two decades of active research at the House Ear Institute.

Dr. Teufert’s clinical work is grounded in more than two decades of active research at the House Ear Institute in Los Angeles — one of the world’s foremost centers for the study and surgical treatment of ear and skull base disorders. Her published work spans neurotology, temporal bone histopathology, cochlear implantation, vestibular surgery, congenital ear malformations, and the molecular biology of the inner ear.

Presented at leading national and international meetings, published in the field’s most respected peer-reviewed journals, as well as contributions in major surgical reference textbooks used by otolaryngologists and skull base surgeons worldwide.

Dr. Teufert was awarded research funding from the National Organization for Hearing Research Foundation for her study on the role of the spiral ligament in sensorineural hearing loss in humans — an immunohistochemical investigation conducted at the House Ear Institute.
